If a tutor is requested to help with schoolwork they will also help develop skills in reading, listening, writing, oral and visual communications; develop engagement and response abilities; draw reasoned conclusions; communicate ideas and information clearly, and aid with study skills such as organization, planning, and motivation.

In addition, we have specially trained tutors in ESL for non-native speakers who specialize in grammar, writing skills, reading skills, vocabulary, spelling, listening, and conversation.

If you want to improve your writing skills, Pi Plus can provide on-line tutoring for you. You can e-mail your paper/assignment to Pi Plus and a tutor will make the necessary suggestions to improve on what you have written. We will help you with topic sentences, support, punctuation, structure, grammar, and spelling. We will not make the changes for you but will send the essay back to you with lengthy commentary and explicit guidelines for improvement. You then make the suggested changes and e-mail it back once again.

A reasonable charge of $30/hour applies; estimating about half an hour per page.
